Visual Basic Developer

Visual Basic Programmer/Analyst needed for a diverse Software Services company in Southeast Michigan.  A minimum of 2 years experience in Visual Basic (6 and .Net), MS Sequel Server and MS Access.  Shop floor data collection and user interaction software programming background is a plus.  Must have ability to travel and be willing to provide after-hours remote on-call support.

We are a 28-year services firm working on our sixth straight profitable year. We have a need for additional programming and analysis support, due to the volume of work requested by our existing and new customers. We are on an steady growth path and desire to add hard-working persons who are ready to put in a great deal of effort to be successful.

You will provide programming and support for our clients applications and custom programs. You will be required to work on-site and may provide live-site support of the add-on applications you have participated in developing. You may provide Help-desk support to answer application questions from end-users and address issues. You will follow specific standards for designing, programming, testing and documentation of systems.

 

Requirements include good communications skills, ability to work from project design to finished program, and the ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently to complete programs.  Projects are broken out into single piece programs for work to be completed, but the completed project is discussed prior to starting so that all members of the team know the end goal, as well as what is expected of each member.

 

This challenging position will test your programming and analytical skills.  Significant knowledge in standard business practices is a must.  Travel may be required to install and implement programs.
