Kaplan Financial is a leading provider of education, training and certification for securities, insurance, and financial services professionals and corporations.

 

As a Visual Basic/.NET Developer, you will:

 Work in a team environment with motivated, highly technically experienced professionals.Define and resolve customer issues with our software products, working with team members, customers and potential customers.Make changes to commercial software applications written in Visual Basic/.NET, Active Server Pages (ASP), as well as code included in SQL Server and other databases.  Design, develop, and support client/server and web-based applications utilizing Microsoft DNA architecture.Test coding enhancements.Infrequent travels to a customer site, as needed, to resolve customer issues, install a new system, or assist with design of new system components.

 

Requirements:

 4 Year College Degree in computer related discipline.Expertise in system design and programming multiple-tier application utilizing Visual Basic 6.0 and VB.NET on the business tier and SQL Server on the data tier.Background should also include experience with HTML/DHTML, Active Server Pages, ASP.NET, VB Script, Java Script, XML, and ADO.Strong background in SDLC with object-oriented analysis, design, and development skills is a plus.Good written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of the insurance industry is desired.
