Visual Basic, .NET, MS Sharepoint - "Senior Programmer / Analyst

1.

4 years experience coding Visual Basic (VB) or Visual Basic Application (VBA) solutions

2.

4 years experience designing and implementing Microsoft Office Application solutions including use of MS Access, Sybase, or SQL data sources

3.

2 years experience using MS Exchange, MS Sharepoint or similar MS enterprise server solution

4.

2 years experience documenting technical designs and data specifications

 

 

ASSOCIATED SKILL SETS

 

Candidates must also have (1) of the preferred skilled sets listed below.  Accordingly, candidates not meeting the supporting experiential specifications below will not be considered for the position.

1.

Experience using MS Active Directory for Authentication and Access Control

2.

Experience developing document management and records management solutions using MS tools

3.

Experience implementing Content Indexing in MS Sharepoint Portal server including customized protocol handlers and IFILTERs

4.

Experience testing applications and documenting test results for iterative coding

 

These solutions will provide day to day operational support for the units and act as sub-systems for a larger Decision Support System that is begin designed.

 

The Programmer / Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining prototype solutions for the individual Business Units and the IT group. Solutions will focus on using existing desktop and enterprise tools (MS Office, Outlook, Exchange and Sharepoint) to implement document management and data management practices within each business unit.

 

The programmer will work with Project Managers to refine requirements and functional specifications for prototypes and create code to achieve the end result. Programmer will test code and work with Project Manager to implement beta user test groups through a testing cycle and potentially agency-wide implementation.
