The SeaChange User Experience team is looking for a visual designer to translate conceptual ideas into engaging visual presentations and design solutions. The candidate should be able to conceptualize and create brand-consistent, easy-to-use, attractive and meaningful visualizations for browser-based applications working from wireframes, requirements, best practices and interaction diagrams. Design deliverables may include mockups, color palettes, typography, iconography, stylesheets and user interface elements. Solid skills in graphic design, an excellent eye for typography, clean layout, purposeful color, and attention to detail are a must. Will be responsible for all stages of visual design for user interfaces.
Communicate your design thinking in a way that works for all the parties involved (engineers, product managers, partners, etc.) through appropriately detailed specifications and reviews. Participate and collaborate in concept development and design ideation to help define a creative strategy. Provide design expertise to the User Experience team and work directly with User Experience and Software Engineering to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the web.
Qualifications
· 0-4 years experience in web design.
· Experience in browser-based applications preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree required in design-related discipline: Interaction, Graphic or Interface design. Proficient to expert in Photoshop and Illustrator.
· HTML skills including CSS preferred.
· Must have an understanding of overall web site design, including basic usability, industry standards,architecture and navigation.
· Knowledge of cross-platform browser compatibility restrictions and requirements desired.
· Interaction design skills such as experience creating wireframes, site/system flows, site architecture diagrams; design experiences in internationalization, accessibility or desktop software; experience creating or maintaining interface guidelines in a software environment all a plus
· US Citizen or permanent resident
