MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Concurrent is looking for an Applications Developer to develop utilities and applications for Concurrent VOD systems. These utilities and applications will be hosted on Microsoft Windows servers and integrated with web services and applications provided by Concurrent and third party vendors.  Development activities include the following:Performs product design, system analysis and programming activities on system software. Prepares technical documentation of product sub-systems Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.Modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Performs bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions to the problems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

Candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

 

·  Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

·  3+ years working experience in application development with Microsoft Visual C++, including development of networking and multi-threaded applications

·  1+ years working experience in application development with Microsoft Visual C#

·  Proficient with Visual Studio 6 - Visual Studio 2005

·  Experience writing and maintaining Windows database applications using Oracle

·  Experience writing and analyzing large scale client-server architecture

·  Able to generate detailed design documentation.

·  Good analytical and design skills

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·  Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision

·  Must demonstrate the willingness and capability of multi-tasking by taking on several duties, tasks, projects and/or responsibilities at one time

 

Preferential consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following additional skill sets:

·  Experience with Java

·  Design experience using UML

·  Experience with Installshield

·  Cable Plant / VOD background a plus
