Web Engineer

Our hedge fund client is looking for a web 2.0 guru to lead & help implement its web strategy.Their existing web infrastructure is a mix of classic ASP & ASP 2.0.  However, they have recently made a significant investment in python and wish to continue that investment by leveraging the django framework.  Three basic problems they want to solve: 1) definition & implementation of a portal framework giving users “iGoogle” functionality; 2) setting a path for and assisting in migrating their existing sites to this portal solution; and 3) building of portal widgets which are able to consume information from their real-time message buses to build portal-based portfolio management dashboards.

Technical ExperienceProduction of high quality code using C# 2.0, ASP, .Net, T-SQL. Developed web interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScriptDeveloped re-useable server controls which maintain view state and can be added to a designer through VS toolsCoding of SQL Server 2000 or 2005 stored procedures, functions, views, tables, triggers, SQL XMLProduction of Mashup controlsExperience developing customizable web portals wrapping user/server controls into generic webparts and exposing both user and administration modes based on role / membershipThoroughly tested code modifications using testing toolsEvaluated statistical study of traffic patternsAnalyzed, reviewed, and altered program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirementsExperience setting up Web Cluster EnvironmentExperience setting up and administering IIS 6.0
