Web/PHP Developer

Job description:  Web/PHP Developer in Services team

 

This is a Web Developer (PHP) opportunity in Media, PA with the services team of Billing Software company that recently closed their Series A funding from a Tier 1 VC.  We manage a hosted, billing service creation platform that handles customer management and acquisition, and billing and invoicing for our customers.


We’re looking for a front end, web PHP developer that can help us maintain some existing solutions that have been developed for our customers as well as help us build out new solutions for new customers. 

 

Technical Requirements:

 

§  Proficiency with HTML and CSS and JavaScript – 3-4 years of experience minimum

§  Significant experience developing and maintaining web sites with PHP

§  Expert knowledge of PHP, including knowledge of object-oriented programming in PHP

§  Experience with SOAP and XML development

§  Working knowledge of UNIX

§  Familiarity with HTTP and HTTPS protocols and ability to use it for low-level troubleshooting as well as experience tweaking the configuration of Apache web servers.

§  Solid background in SQL and in particular, Oracle, and experience working with applications/systems that interface with large databases and multiple data tables.

§  Familiarity with ZenCart and MySQL a plus

§  Minimum of bachelors degree in Computer Science or some other related engineering discipline

§  Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and meet challenging deadlines in a rapid application development environment.

§  Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.

§  Proven strong communication and documentation skills

§  Attention to detail and the ability to interface with a customer

§  Experience with billing solutions a plus
