Web Programmer / Software Developer

A fast-growing online media company is seeking an experienced software programmer for a full-time position in South Bend. The ideal candidate will have past experience developing solutions to support high-traffic websites, and a strong desire to keep up with the latest in Internet technology and apply that knowledge to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities include:
Developing browser-based applications using both proprietary and open source toolsContributing effectively during design, development, quality assurance, implementation and support phases of assigned projectsParticipating in external and internal project meetings and contributing creative ideas to solve application and architecture issuesMaintaining technical documentation on assigned projects

This position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 2+ years of experience programming in a disciplined software development environment. Other requirements for this position are:
Expert knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExpert knowledge of database design and deployment for dynamic DB driven sites using MYSQL (Microsoft SQL, Oracle or other ODBC compliant databases are a plus)Proficient with Apache/Linux and other open source technologiesStrong understanding of HTML design capabilities and constraints of various platforms and browsersExperience with other programming languages like Python, Perl, Rudy on Rails, etc is a plus
