Seeking to fill 1 full time on site position with benefits designing, implementing, and maintaining web based applicationuser interfaces on open source platforms. Note: We're not looking for a general web designer, we're lookingfor applicants with strong UI application design experience.Responsibilities: Design and implement web based application designs using industry known best practices. Balance needs of both novice web users and those familiar with more advanced Ajax type interfaces. Work with a team of 6+ web developers to implement your designs and interfaces. Identify solutions for the inherent rendering differences of web browsers. Review and optimize existing HTML, XHTML, CSS code base for download speed and render time optimizations.Qualifications: Strong user interface design experience. Ability to hand code HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, and Javascript. Strong knowledge of development using W3C XHTML 1.0 & 1.1 standards with cross browser compatibility. Macromedia Flash MX development including audio, video, animation, action-scripting and best practices for use on the web. Strong proficiency in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) for trial layouts, graphics, image slicing, and compression. PHP and Javascript skills a big plus for ease of implementation. Excellent oral and written communication skills with clients and co-workers. Full project cycle experience, concept through execution and maintenance support on large scale web sites. Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines and constraints. Be assertive and have good communication skills. Comfortable working in an informal, high-energy environment.
