POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

WEBMASTER

Summary:

Spectrum Laboratory Products, a global supplier of chemicals, laboratory supplies and equipment, is seeking an experienced Webmaster responsible for multiple E-Commerce sites, online catalogs monthly promotions, shopping cart and dynamic page content.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:


• Periodically maintain, tune, and backup web servers and databases.


• Manage and assist with development of Spectrum’s e-commerce web sites.

 

• Seek ways to eliminate outdated or manual processes by using latest technologies.

• Coordinate new designs, requirements, and implementation requests with other departments.



• Work with marketing department and assist with monthly promotions and online catalogs update.

 

• Update corporate websites as needed with news and job postings.


• Develop on multiple projects at a time.

• Ensure quality standards are met.

 

• Optimize search engine ranking.

 

• Debug and troubleshoot pricing issues.

 

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

• 3+ Years experience in Website development technologies including ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000, IIS, Commerce Visual Basic/VBScript, C#, Active Server Pages (ASP), dynamic HTML, JavaScript, XML, and CSS.



• Experience working with web analytical tools such as google analytics and Hitbox.

 

Skills:


• SQL DBA or database developer skills in Transact-SQL, DML, DDL, stored procedures, and Data  

Transformation Services (DTS).

• Knowledge of Oracle ERP system, iStore and J2EE technology helpful.

 

• Highly motivated individual that has demonstrated the ability to produce results while working  

independently.
