Weblogic Architect

Link Computer Corporation has an immediate Contract need for a client in Chantilly, Virginia.  The client is looking for a long term contractor who is a Weblogic Architect. Position could last the rest of this year.

 

Description:

 

Selected candidate will be involved in managing the design of a Supplier portal where the area of concern for this position is collaboration technologies including portal, document and records management, information management and reuse.

Security for the portal is a critical due to export control issues.

 

 Required knowledge includes BEA Weblogic, Aqualogic . Strong architecture and portal design experience required.

 

Tasks:

• Define and continuously develop the IT architecture ensuring alignment with the overall Group IT Strategy and Business Objectives, including architectural convergence.

• Provide leadership and guidance for development of specific aspects of the Enterprise Architecture, working in partnership with the sector/function IT leadership and staff, while ensuring alignment with the overall strategy and vision.

• Manage the usage of appropriate IT Architecture frameworks, processes, and tools, working on partnership with key IT leaders in each sector/function, and staff

• Guide project teams in the conformance to IT Project and Portfolio Management processes, with specific emphasis on Technology Office processes including Solution Architecture and Design

• Review project solution architectures for conformance to the client’s Enterprise Architecture processes, standards, and emerging strategies.

• Provide leadership and direction through technical subject matter expertise.

• Ensure that architectures and designs effectively use the technologies, allow business flexibility, and optimize resources.

• Make decisions and recommendations on architectural and design changes for solution architectures, improvements, and problem resolutions

• Review project product selections for conformance to the processes, standards, patterns and emerging strategies.

• Maintain expertise in the area of infrastructure, application, or data architecture, including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure that the assets are effectively and efficiently utilized

Skills Required:

 

BEA's Weblogic portal, Aqualogic Must have portal design experience, strong communication skills, lead experience. A minimum of 7 years experience required.
