Detailed Description

The Middleware/WebSphere Architect works closely with all applications and infrastructure teams to understand their requirements. This person also needs to understand business requirements for accessing information and design appropriate middleware architectures, including business and data integration services, necessary to enable the business processes to access the information.

 

The Middleware/WebSphere Architect  will also help to champion the future direction of the services oriented architecture technology (SOA) within the company through constant attention to technology trends and directions; understanding how those trends will impact existing technology and support business objectives.

 

The candidate must have excellent technical, communication, organizational and overall architectural skills, with experience in application architecture, information and integration system development, deployment and operations. It is essential that the candidate understands both application development and infrastructure support.

 

 

Job RequirementsFive years experience with enterprise wide architecture implementation using SeeBeyond. Five years experience with WebSphere Application Server Three years experience with Rational Software Architecture Experience in integration of enterprise applications. Experience in using enterprise real-time integration tools to capture and integrate date to create real time dashboards. Implementation experience with particular emphasis on distributed computing and portal technologies Experience working on a large program of work (multi-year, multi-team) Understanding of Application Development and Delivery in a 3 Tiered Environment (Web to Application to Database)



Experience with the any of the following technologies will be an advantage:Business Objects Reporting Tool BODI (Business Objects Data Integrator) AIX operating system Tivoli Identity Managements (LDAP) SAN Storage devices
