Windows Desktop Systems Administrator

Windows Desktop Systems Administrator to support the Infrastructure Task Order at the NCR on the JRDC program in Falls Church, VA. System Administrator (SA) will be required to support, troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware conflicts/problems on, but not limited to these platforms: Windows XP workstations, configuration and installation of related peripherals. Will be responsible for loading and supporting required system software including but not limited to: Microsoft Office 2003, additional products in the Microsoft suite of software, test applications and GOTS (Government Off The Shelf) Software. Will be required to coordinate efforts with Network Operations Center and Resource Management personnel to resolve Action Requests and Engineering Change work orders. Other duties and occasional travel may be required. Primary duty hours fall within the 0700-1700, Monday - Friday time period, but must be able to work 2nd shift and weekend hours as necessary to support troubleshooting, testing, and exercise support requirements. Other duties as required including fill-in assistance to Call Center (Helpdesk). 2-4 years previous experience with Windows XP operating systems and related networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) (Required). Must have DoD Secret security clearance. Microsoft Certification(s). Sun Solaris experience is beneficial. Experience using Remedy software (Action Request System) preferred but not required. Audio Visual and Telephone equipment experience beneficial, but not required. Essential qualifications for a successful candidate include: (1) ability to quickly adapt to new situations, (2) strong commitment to a team environment, and (3) capacity to work unsupervised. Associate's degree is required.
