Wireless Architect

Wireless Systems Architect Education: MSEE or equivalent.Experience: 10+ years in a product development environment.Responsibilities: Be the technical champion and provide technical leadership for Ambric’s 4G Wireless initiative. Lead the creation of the system design for Ambric’s 4G platform including software, hardware and silicon. Collaborate with team members to create the product roadmap, market and product requirements and other product planning documents for one or more chipset products. Communicate our value proposition, technical approach and systems benefits to prospective customers and partners. Define hardware and software requirements for reference designs, fixed and portable demonstration systems, Evaluation Kits (EVKs) and Software Development Kits (SDKs) that facilitate go-to-market success with our chipsets. Provide technical insight and potentially assist in systems analysis and design trade-offs for Experience and Skills: A minimum of 7 years experience in Wireless communications with deep expertise in wireless broadband architecture with emphasis on the WiMAX or LTE PHY layer. A track record of developing wireless infrastructure that has been field-tested and commercially deployed. Significant experience in wireless system analysis, including baseband processing algorithms and related performance/throughput requirements. Detailed knowledge of RF interfaces, MIMO and adaptive antenna technologies. Up-to-date knowledge of wireless industry standards and roadmaps. A thorough understanding of high performance computing architectures and the use of DSP’s and FPGA’s in system design to maximize performance while reducing production costs. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex topics to business and technical professionals. Must be a highly motivated, flexible, self-starter that is comfortable in a dynamic start-up environment.
