Description Organization:  Outsourcing Operations Location: Chicago IL People within the Client Operations-IO workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location. Infrastructure Outsourcing (IO) is the ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (e.g. information systems, security systems, and telecommunications networks), allowing companies to focus on their core business and competencies Our IO resources can expect to:  Incorporate skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients. Receive ongoing training to build and extend professional, technical and management skills in all areas Enjoy our comprehensive and generous benefits package   Job Description: The Workstation Software Architect is responsible for providing workstation imaging, electronic software distribution, and software packaging / deployment services to customers based on documented managed service offerings from Desktop Management and Mobility. The software engineer will specialize in one or more of the areas identified in the key responsibilities section and provide backup responsibilities for other areas.  Additional Responsibilities May Include:   Workstation Image Customization and Support Software Packaging and Deployment Support Development and maintenance of Desktop Management and Mobility internal and external websites. Software Integration of components for standard workstation software platforms Maintenance of team and project Windows Sharepoint Services for Global standard OS, security, and connectivity components Coordination of Security Enhancements sites Researching / evaluating, architecting, testing, and (third tier) support Investigating future software solutions Manage global software deployment projects within Accenture Qualifications  Basic Qualifications:  3 years developing software images with Microsoft XP 2 years Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007 configuration/troubleshooting experience 1 year working with Microsoft Vista 3 years of knowledge and expertise working with workstation imaging technologies, preferably Ghost 3 years of software installation packaging experience, preferably with Wise or MSI 2 years of scripting and/or programming skills; experience with Visual Basic / VBScript  Preferred Skills:  Ability to manage IT supplier relationships Project management experience or equivalent training Self starter that is able to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and interact with key executives Experience working with Microsoft Business Desktop Deployment toolkit Experience working with, engineering and deploying workstation level encryption tools and software, specifically Pointsec and BitLocker products Web development skills in HTML/XML/ASP Team supervision and career development experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or other related field or equivalent experience. Professional Skill Requirements:  Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Strong supervisory, coaching and project management skills Must display professionalism and confidence Excellent customer service skills Proven global expertise and perspective; executive level presence and influence Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills Excellent business acumen and industry acumen To submit resume online Click Here   Candidates who are currently employed by a client of Accenture or an affiliated Accenture business may not be eligible for consideration.
