Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer. www.apple.com/jobs Position Description:The iTunes Store Engineering Team is seeking a Production Support Engineer to identify and resolve technical issues in the day-to-day operations of the iTunes Store. This is an Engineering position focused not just on resolving issues but also identifying trends and ultimately building tools and solutions to prevent issues from recurring. This person will serve as a liaison between Engineering, Business Operations, Technical Operations and Systems Engineering to coordinate and resolve customer-facing issues. Daily work will involve creating SQL queries, shell scripts, Java tools and reports, as well as identifying, filing and fixing bugs. This person will also work with senior members of the engineering team to identify problem areas and architect permanent solutions.- Excellent SQL and shell scripting skills a must!- Object-oriented programming in Java, Objective C, or C++.- Application servers such as WebLogic, WebObjects, or any J2EE server.- HTTP, HTML, and XML.- Experience with Lucene, Squid, Akamai a plus.- High-volume deployment infrastructure.Additional expertise with Apple technologies such as WebObjects and Enterprise Objects is especially valuable.BS in Computer Science2-5 years of experience Perk #56: New ways to stretch your mind.
