The IT Data Warehouse Support Analyst will be responsible for the on-going support and maintenance of the company’s internal Data Warehouse including legacy processes based on PLSQL and scripting, recently implemented Business Objects data extraction and reporting, as well as regularly scheduled ETL processes. In addition, the Support Analyst will manage a fast-paced queue of support issues and enhancement requests for all aspects of the Data Warehouse. Responsibilities: This role works closely with the IT Application Support team, as well as the Data Warehouse project team to deliver highly responsive end-user support and training, as well as prioritization and assignment of business requests to project and support team members. The successful candidate will be highly-motivated, independent, and a self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Required Skills/Experience: * Bachelors degree in a relevant business or technical discipline * Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and tools * Familiarity and proven ability to work with database query tools such as SQL Plus, SQL Navigator, TOAD, and SQL Loader * Ability to develop, debug, and run UNIX Shell and PLSQL and Perl Scripts * ETL jobs and integration processes using enterprise ETL application (such as Informatica or Data Integrator) and PL SQL * Experience with Business Objects System Administration, Business Objects Report Creation, End-user training and how-to documentation * Ability to administer and support production Business Objects environments and universes, including user account setup, user access management and termination. * Monitor and trouble-shoot scheduled ETL jobs, perform failure recovery, and incident management. * Fulfill ad hoc requests for data and reporting from end-users and business partners * Demonstrated ability to build and execute efficient support processes and methodologies * Ability to participate in periodic 24x7 on call rotation for business critical outages. Desired Skills: * Familiarity with Release Management concepts and procedures– including source code management, bug tracking, and release processes * Experience supporting Data Integrator * Knowledge of on-demand CRM and platform technologies and their integrations to ERP systems * Familiarity and experience working in and building processes for a Sarbanes-Oxley compliant business applications * Proven ability in relationship management building productive partnerships with customers * Ability to juggle multiple projects & tasks and successfully prioritize and deliver results in the face of competing business interests * Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment Employees at salesforce.com consider their experience as defining points in their careers.
