As an Oracle DBA in the Development organization, the ideal candidate will become team responsible for supporting our growing number of developers and our growing number of applications that we support. You'll be responsible for schema design, upgrade scripts and some amount of coding in Java and PL/SQL. You will work very closely with our operational DBA's in rolling out new product releases. Responsibilities: Responsilities will include schema changes and upgrade scripts for new releases. You will also be involved in adapting new Oracle technology. You will also create scripts for building new application environments and for doing database maintenance. Required Skills/Experience: * Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. * 3 plus years database administration experience. * Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills. * Perl and shell scripting. * Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, conducive to team development. * Prior experience in a Java-driven environment, or in Java programming, considered a plus Employees at salesforce.com consider their experience as defining points in their careers.
