The Salesforce.com IT Application Development team is seeking a talented Quality Engineer with a solid background in Software Development Lifecycle to join our all-star team. You will be working with other experienced Quality Engineers to design, create, document, implement and maintain test scripts for complex “Software as a Service” (SaaS) functionality. As an experienced Quality Engineer you are comfortable performing both manual and automated testing of new and existing features. You are able to create a test suite based on functional requirements and interact with product owners and developers to refine the tests. You are also skilled in identifying missing test cases in existing suites and refining existing automated scripts for modularity and automation purposes. You are proficient in estimating and prioritizing your work for optimal risk mitigation and identifying suitable regression suites. You have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and extensive experience in Quality Assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices. You are detail-oriented, able to learn quickly, work in a fast paced, team driven environment, and have the ability to communicate well with non-technical team members. Responsibilities: * Review designs and/or functional specifications to develop detailed test plans. * Interact with product owners and developers to refine your test cases * Create manual test cases for functional testing and regression testing. * Execute functional and regression test cases. * Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution Required Skills/Experience: * 4-6 years of Software Quality Engineer experience with both white box and black box testing. * 2+ years of experience testing SaaS/web-based systems * Experience with at least one Object Oriented programming language * Solid knowledge of SQL * Excellent written and verbal communication skills that will allow you to clearly verbalize issues, compose documentation and communicate effectively inside and outside your team. * Ability to execute against aggressive deadlines. * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields. Equivalent experience will be considered.
