Responsibilities: Salesforce.com has an opportunity for you to create your own title. A mastery of CSS is essential. The ideal candidate should be able to comp up photoshop examples (or build in code if it's faster), build or tweak the CSS files, then guide developers through the implementation. Want to implement it too? That's fine with us. We want someone to own our global CSS files and be responsible for optimizing and evolving our CSS and related code. Desire and ability to infuse Ajax into our site is a big plus. This CSS guru will report to the Sr. Art Director and work along side producers, designers, and developers to create the most strategic initiatives of the website.Required Skills/Experience: 3-5+ yrs experience in web design/development Expert in Web standards and cross-platform, cross-browser issues deployed on large-scale, high-volume websites An online portfolio that showcases your best and RECENT work Master of hand-coded CSS and Javascript Passion for clean code and clear naming conventions Evolve concepts with design team from comp to template ( and possibly to final build) Ability to design comps and prototypes via Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Strong visual and conceptual design sense Excellent problem solving skills A get-along-with-everybody-team-player attitudeDesired Skills: Ajax experience a huge plus Familiar with OpenCMS environment Web site design architecture experience, knowledge of usability test methodologies and processes, debugging and trouble-shooting skills Experience leveraging CSS into Flash BA or BFA in Design, CIS, or related field SEO experience Fortune 500 client experienceEmployees at salesforce.com consider their experience as defining points in their careers.
