Leading regional supplier (30 branches throughout 10 southern and central states) of building materials to the residential and commercial construction industries is seeking an ‘Ops Mgr’ for their Houston branch. Salary $60K-$70K plus bonus up to 40%, plus great benefits. Average Ops Mgr of similar size branches makes $80-$85K.

Manager will be over direct reports of counter sales, truck drivers, warehouse and admin personnel. Position reports to the Regional Manager and is responsible for P&L of the branch.

Any industry experience of supply house Ops Mgr experience qualifies for this position such as MRO industry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, oilfield, automotive, parts houses, steel supply, lumber supply, building materials, restaurant supply, etc. The key is having managed a ware house, trucks & drivers, counter or inside sales (customer service), and admin personnel – with an eye to P&L responsibility.

MUST HAVE: 2 plus years minimum experience managing an industrial supply house; experience of direct ‘hire & fire’ responsibility over personnel staff with P&L responsibilities; degree not required, but does enhance qualifications; good communication skills – both written and oral; computer & internet literate; stable job history; team player with enthusiastic attitude.Salary $60-$70KBonus up to 40% (avg is 27%)Regional company (30 branches in 10 states)Well established co.
