A/V Project Manager/Coordinator

Purpose of Position 

Oversee all aspects of Audio Visual projects.  These duties include overseeing engineering, fabrication, installation and programming phases of projects.  Function as the client’s primary contact with the company and ensure that budget, scope and performance requirements are met.  This position is responsible for holding the company and the client to project budget, scope and contract requirements.  Maintain open lines of communication both within the company and with regard to client expectations.

 

Responsibilities & Duties 

1. Take full responsibility to manage the fiscal contractual and scheduling aspects of the project.

2. Manage changes in scope by generating the appropriate change orders.

3. Ensure that projects are completed in a timely, efficient manner and to the client’s satisfaction.

4. Oversee project process of engineering, purchasing, fabrication, installation and programming. 

5. Coordinate project scheduling and staffing using in-house, contract and sub-contract labor resources.

6. Prepare and manage project schedules.  Coordinate travel and accommodations for installation teams.

7. Oversee the work and direction of project site supervisors and installers.

8. Manage on-site training and client sign-off.

9. Coordinate in-house progress invoicing and contract invoicing.

10. Communicate project process and status both internally and with the client.

11. Significant travel and extended out of town stays may be required in this position.

12. Maintain regular daily project logs, reports and weekly timesheets.

13. Ensure that final documentation packages (e.g. operation manuals, schematics, service contracts) are prepared and contract close-out occurs in a timely manner.

14. Perform other activities and responsibilities as directed by the immediate manager.

15. Extensive Travel required.

Educational and Experience Requirements

1. A.A. degree (or equivalent) in a related field.

2. Minimum three years of professional project management experience in a related industry.

3. Hands-on installation experience and knowledge of current products and trends in video or related industry.

 

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Operations Manager.
