Accounting Assistant

Property Management company located in the south suburbs is seeking an experienced accounting / administrative assistant able to efficiently function in a fast-paced environment.  Motivated individual must have a pleasant demeanor and be efficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as in Quickbooks and Timberline software.

Duties Include, But are Not Limited To:
• Code and enter payables and receivables into Timberline
• Print / cut checks for mortgages, vendors, subcontractors, interest payments, distributions, etc.
• Close / open utility accounts for vacant spaces
• Prorate and bill tenants their portion of utility bills
• Collect and post new lease information into Timberline including contact information, step-ups, certificate of insurance expirations, etc.
• Collect and maintain current contact information and certificates of insurance for existing tenants
• General office functions such as filing, opening / dispersing mail, answering / directing incoming calls, etc.

Requirements:
• 1-3 years experience in A/P, A/R and Billing
• Posess a high school diploma or equivalent though a minimum of two years higher education preferred
• Strong background in Timberline construction software
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly team player with a client-service attitude
• Detail-oriented and well organized
