Accounting Manager

This successful development company is looking to add an Accounting Manager to its corporate accounting department.  The position is located in the northern San Fernando Valley.

 

Job description:

Oversee financial and compliance audits.   Perform a strong role in the primary company’s annual financial statement audit.

Prepare detailed income projections, cash flow analyses and financial statements.

Interact with executives and operational management .

Manage the accounting staff accounting functions in accordance with GAAP and departmental guidelines.

Analyze and suggest improvements to senior management for the streamlining processes.

Work with the IT and operational department to analyze ongoing improvements to the accounting reporting systems.

Report on progress including profitability, billings, and collections.

Perform special projects.

 

The ideal candidate will be a CPA with a minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience. 



Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Be able to prepare, analyze and follow audit workpapers used in a typical audit oriented environment.

Have a strong understanding of technology with a desire to obtain greater knowledge of the relationships between spreadsheets, databases and database report writing.

Have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and internal controls.
