The world-renowned Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer for its Facilities department. The successful candidate for this interesting role will meet the qualifications described below, as well as possess a genuine interest in building maintenance engineering as a career within museum administration.

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Keep watch at the museum on an as needed basis 24/7 operation.

- Assist the Chief Engineer with day-to-day operation and maintenance of HVAC plant and implement quality assurance of job assignment to building services crew.

- Coordinate day-to-day operations, critical repairs and emergency response of our remote Facilities.

- Responsible for quality control of repair Projects and job assignments,

scheduled Preventive Maintenance Program, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and equipment Calibration documentation.

- Coordinate Building System upgrade projects and their interface with on-going operation.

 

Requirements for Position:

 

- B.S. Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience in

Building System Operation and Maintenance.

- 5-10 Years plus experience with at least 3 years in major

repairs/upgrading Building System.

- Experience in Quality Assurance and people management.

- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal skills and a good team player.

- Proficiency in PC office application, Project planning and BMS

(Building Management System).
