Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator

Collavino Construction Company Inc., is an international construction company that is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager and/or Project Coordinator to join our New York City team in working on the the World Trade Center Construction project, The Freedom Tower.

Job Purpose:

Manage construction operations in conjunction with management and field staff. Duties:* Communicates job expectations, plans, and monitors costs, while adhering to policies and procedures.* Meets engineering construction operational standards by contributing engineering construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, and quality; resolving problems; identifying engineering construction system improvements.* Meets engineering construction financial standards by providing budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.* Prepares construction projects by verifying estimates, project drawings, specifications, and schedules; awarding contracts; obtaining tools and equipment; specifying materials and supplies.* Provides construction progress reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing construction and budget data and trends.*Manages changes to contract procedures, RFI's and shop drawings.* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.*Works with staff to update and monitor schedule progress* Ensures field staff is working from up-to-date information (i.e. changes, RFI's, addendums, drawings and specifications)Skills/Qualifications:Project Management, Tracking Budget Expenses, Developing Standards, People Management, Legal Compliance, Documentation Skills, Civil Project Management, Problem Solving, Estimating, Customer Service, Safety Management
