Baggage Handling Systems Engineer needed!!!!!

Our client in Farmington Hills, MI has an immediate opening for a Baggage Handling Conveyor expert.

Job Description: Will be responsible for engineering baggage handling systems integrated with TSA equipment, directing junior staff, coordinating with clients and other departments, including Cad redlining, writing engineering reports, cost estimating, field inspections and client interface

 

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences plus a minimum of 5 years in design engineeriing of controls and systems, and experience with AutoCAD ( 3D ), Word, Excel and AutoMod. Must have solid written and oral presentation skills with proven experience in mentoring junior level staff.

 

The candidate may design and detail baggage systems in airports. Projects will range from maintenance level replacement to design and construction administration of large sophisticated projects at major airports. Typical project involvement would include programming, schematic level and concept level designs, directing the preparation of contract drawings and specifications, assisting owner with bid and award, providing construction administration services.
This individual works with a team of people including Baggage Systems Design, Airport Services Group, engineers, designers and cad technicians as well as outside architects, building mechanical and electrical engineers.
Client communication and marketing skills will be a high priority as well as reporting writing skills that must be clear and concise for this individual will write technical reports and communicate with client, airline and airport staff by telephone and in direct face-to-face meetings
