Business Officer Manager

Well established, family owned and operated, respected motor fuel distributor and transportation company requires a business office accounting manager with strong professional accounting and financial reporting experience.  The Office Manager will contribute to the strategic development of this organization.

 

You will be responsible for directing the processing the full cycle of accounting; including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, general ledger, payroll, and other weekly reports. In addition, you will have the opportunity to assist in the human resources, dispatching and providing administrative and procedural support to other functional areas of the organization.

 

If you have exceptional accounting/financial skills, a can-do attitude that enjoys a team environment that prides itself on excellent customer service and creative problem solving skills, you may qualify for this position that reports directly to the CFO.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

 

·  Responsible for the accurate processing of AR/AP, invoicing, and payroll activities;

·  Maintenance of the General Ledger;

·  Responsible for maintaining cash management systems;

·  Preparation of other financial reports as indicated by management;

·  Ability to assist in the human resources function as needed;

·  Preparation and maintenance of DOT compliance documentation;

·  Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced and often time constrained environment;

·  Other functions as directed by management.

 

Experience Desired:

 

·  Five (5) plus years of extensive accounting & office management experience in a $25 mil or larger organization;

·  Highly skilled with accounting software and Microsoft Office Products (Excel and Word);

·  Experience with FACTOR accounting software is preferred;

·  Generalist administrative and human resources experience with and knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry is highly desired;

·  Customer Service Excellence;

·  Ability to systemize self and others;

·  A Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in Accounting is desired, however, solid experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
