COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

 

 

Schwob Building Company is a highly successful Design Build/General Contractor that has been a Metroplex and National leader in Industrial and Commercial construction since 1977. Our expertise includes Office, Commercial and Industrial projects and with an emphasis on the transportation industry including trucking, automotive and aviation facilities in DFW, throughout Texas and across the country.

 

We are currently seeking experienced Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers and Project Managers who are willing to travel and can deliver projects on time, within budget and to our client’s complete satisfaction. Commercial construction experience is required and a positive, innovative, teamwork attitude is a must. Only qualified candidates in the Commercial construction industry will be considered.

 

Most employees are based in Dallas and work on projects in and around the Metroplex.  We also offer a very generous incentive program for those who desire to travel and can construct projects out of the DFW area on or ahead of schedule.  We offer extensive benefits and exceptional performance based incentives.

 

 

Superintendent candidates must possess:

 A minimum of 3-5 years as a lead commercial superintendent. Clear understanding of commercial construction means and methods. Strong technical knowledge. Formal education in construction or engineering is preferred but not required. Knowledge of construction contract documents, construction process documentation and Subcontractor relationships. Must be computer literate, preferring experience with Microsoft Project and/or Suretrak, Outlook, Prolog and other construction related software.   Anticipate problems and create solutions. Knowledge & understanding what is required for effective coordination and communications with and between subcontractors. Most importantly you must be able to build a strong team and motivate others.

   

 

Project Management candidates must possess:

 A minimum of 3-5 years as a commercial Project Manager. Clear understanding of commercial construction means and methods. Formal education in construction or engineering is preferred and field experience is a great asset. Strong technical construction process knowledge. Thorough understanding of construction contract documents, and contractual relationships. Skilled in negotiating, producing, and executing contract documents including purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, billings, budgets RFI’s, submittal, and close out documents. Must be computer literate, preferring experience with Microsoft Project and/or Suretrak, Outlook,  Prolog and other construction related software.   Most importantly you must be able to build a strong team and motivate others.

 

 

Project Engineer must possess:

 

 1-3 years commercial experience as support for a Project Manager and Project Superintendent. Formal education in construction or engineering with a strong technical knowledge is expected and field experience is a great asset. Ability to read and understand construction documents including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Clear understanding of the documentation and processes between the owner, architect and contractor. Clear understanding of commercial construction means and methods. Strong communication skills & leadership ability. Must be computer literate, preferring experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and/or Suretrak, Prolog and other construction related software.

 

 

Assistant Superintendent must possess:

 

 2-5 years leadership experience in construction industry. Ability to read and interpret construction documents including plans and specifications. Ability to follow directions from senior management and work independently as necessary. Ability to assist in prioritizing project needs while adhering to project schedules. Basic computer skills with the intent to master.Excellent communications skills.
