Electrical Estimator - Heavy Commercial Construction

 

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years high-rise experience in heavy, commercial construction, preferably in Hospitality.

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Strong computer skills are a must.

 

Position Duties/Requirements:

Will prepare complete labor and material estimates for use by purchasing.

Will ensure close coordination with Project Management.

Will possess an in depth knowledge of a wide variety electrical materials and methods of installation.

Must be able to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and specifications as they relate to the electrical work.

Will have strong knowledge of the N.E.C. and local codes.

Will have a working knowledge of estimating software and MS Office, to include Outlook, Word & Excel

Must be able to do basic circuitry for power and lighting and layout on drawings.

Must possess an understanding of fire alarm system wiring methods and layout on drawings.

Will have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Will be able to work independently as and as part of a team

Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
