Construction Field Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for a Construction Field Engineer in our Denver office to support projects including such diverse fields as environmental remediation, wind farm construction, new building construction, and decontamination & demolition of industrial and military facilities. Position will report to the Chief Field Engineer and will involve a mix of field and office assignments. BS degree in engineering discipline and 1 to 2 years minimum related experience in design, field engineering, surveying, or inspection required. PE registration is not required however, a commitment to obtain registration is a plus. The position will require ability to produce drawings in CAD, interpret contract requirements including specifications and standards, inspect completed works for compliance to specifications and standards, and provide recommended solutions to problems encountered in the field during construction. The successful candidate will become familiar with project development including providing input on the project approach, developing work plans, subcontract management and procurement, and providing support in developing estimates. The successful candidate will become involved in scheduling and cost control, establishing a project baseline, change identification and management, subcontractor management, and project closeout.The initial assignment will involve a mix of office and field assignments. This will include supporting the Chief Field Engineer in developing and presenting construction training programs, communication of safety and quality messages to the construction staff, management of staff assignments and training databases, and other administrative functions.
