Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.CH2M HILL is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm as Construction Information Officer (CIO), with at least 3 years of public relations experience for our Redding, CA office.A CIO will serve as the interface between the public and the construction contractor.  The CIO will maintain regular communication with the project engineer and the construction contractor, and will be well-versed on all aspects of the construction schedule.  The following lists the duties of the CIO: Interact with the public on a day-to-day basis to allow the construction manager to attend to his/her construction management duties.  Attend community, USFS, County, and FHWA meetings as needed regarding construction schedules, delays, road closures, etc. Coordinate press inquiries and releases with FHWA and other stakeholders. Distribute flyers. Update Project website. Answer e-mails from website. Update Project hotline. Answer Project hotline. Coordinate and manage delivery needs with bonded courier service. Meet with businesses that cater to summer tourists, prior to construction, to ensure their needs are addressed and/or they are properly notified of road closures during peak travel months. Address emergency service providers’ issues. Perform "Office Engineer" duties to support construction. Conduct field inspections depending on his/her skill set.QualificationsMinumin 3 years public relations experienceCA drivers licenseHigh school degreeExcellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills and capable of multi-tasking. Must have a good personality, be outgoing, self sufficient, and capable of working with others.
