Construction Management Staff Mount Blue Construction, Inc. (MBCI) is a privately held firm located in Rockland, MA, founded in 2002 for the purpose of providing Design-Build delivery solutions and Construction Management At-Risk (CMAR) services to our client’s.  Our focus is on performing the Civil/Site component of major projects.  Mount Blue Construction, Inc. executes construction related contracting, material procurement, and pre-construction activities.

 We are currently looking to fill two positions to expand upon our Construction Management Staff.   Project Supervisor – position duties

 Coordinate with Chief Estimator, Project Manager, subcontractors, and vendors Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure project completion on time, on budget, and to the highest standardDevelop and maintain project schedulesComplete daily reports and photo documentation related to work performedInterpret plans and specifications Schedule suppliers and material deliveriesSupervise and implement construction safety requirementsAttend weekly company meetingsScheduled required municipal and other inspectionsSchedule required Police Details

 Estimator – position duties Prepare construction budgets and estimates per plans and specificationsUpon award of a project buy the project out.Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractorsResolve any cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing informationCoordinate with Project Managers and Project SupervisorsAssist in the Development of Project Contracts and Sub ContractsAssist in Cost tracking efforts associated with projectsCoordinate with Engineering Firms and Clients during the Design Build process Position requirements Both of these positions require 3-5 years experience in construction oversight of civil site work projects including excavation, earthwork, roadways, utilities, and other land development related work. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail also required. Must also possess working knowledge of building materials and codes, industry standards, basic computer software applications (Excel, Word, etc.), and the budgeting process.  Construction Supervisor license, Equipment operators license, and/or 8 hour OSHA training a plus.
