Construction Quality Control Manager - New Jersey

General Purpose of the Position:

Quality Assurance and Quality Control are parts of a system that can be defined as Quality Management which focuses on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled. Quality Management involves coordinating activities required to direct and control an organization with regard to quality. The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing that the Perini Project Team follows Perini’s Quality Assurance / Quality Control Program.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop Quality Management Program. Oversee QA/QC inspections. Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated. Establish random job audits of Perini Project Teams to measure Project Team’s QA/QC performance. Prepare periodic reports on the state of the Quality Management Program. Establish random job audits of Subcontractor’s to measure Subcontractor QA/QC performance and their adherence to Subcontractor Job Specific QA/QC Program. Develop scope of work for 3rd Party Consultants and ensure 3rd Party Consultants are used per Perini Building Company’s Subcontractor & Consultant Policy. Review and approve Subcontractor Job Specific QA/QC Plans.

Other Duties: Respond to complaints and/or problems as they arise Attend relevant meetings. Interface with Owner’s QA/QC Staff. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
