Currently, ROEL is seeking a Jobsite Safety Supervisor for a large hotel and casino project in Winterhaven, CA (just outside of Yuma, AZ).  This position is primarily responsible for managing the safety of all jobsite personnel for a large construction project.

Position:  Site Safety Supervisor

Location: Winterhaven, CA (Yuma, AZ)

Responsible to:  Safety Director

Works With:  All Personnel

 

 

Position Purpose:

 

This position is responsible to perform all of the duties as they relate to maintaining a safe, accident free jobsite.  This person shall coordinate all safety activities on a particular jobsite or sites and administer the company’s safety program.

 

Specifically, the site safety supervisor is required to have a working knowledge of the following:

 

 

1. Must be current on all safety rules, regulations, procedures and practices within the construction industry.  Must have at least 5 years of experience in safety.

 

2. Shall act as liaison between jobsite and various outside safety agencies including State and Federal inspectors.

3. Shall ensure that safe practices and conditions are established and followed on site.

4. Will maintain regular communication with and provide safety support to the jobsite superintendent.

 

5. Will manage the documentation and procedures involved with an accident or incident investigation onsite while maintaining continuous communication with the Safety Director.

6. Will ensure adequate communication between team members on the jobsite regarding safety issues.

7. Will pro-actively coordinate all loss control activities on the job sites and vehicle operations.

8. Maintain information and interest sustaining items such as emergency numbers and safety posters at each jobsite.

 

9. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

 

10. Knowledge of OSHA requirements required

 

11. Must have proficiency with computer programs and misc. technology (such as digital cameras, fax machines etc).

 

12. 2 to 3 years experience with OCIP strongly preferred.
