Contract Service Supervisor

The Contract Service Supervisor is responsible for selling and maintaining Building Automation and maintenence service contracts.  In order to maintain the contracts, the Contract Service Supervisor must develop and maintain good working relationships through regular contact with the customers.  The Contract Service Supervisor will provide scheduling, field-direction, and work on-site with the Maintenance Technicians.

 

This individual must have sufficient experience and familiarity with the systems installed by the company as well as other similar systems likely to be encountered when performing contract maintenance services for the company’s customers.  This individual must be able to trouble-shoot, diagnose, and calibrate systems correctly and be able to perform the more challenging maintenance service calls personally.  The Contract Service Supervisor must be able to effectively manage and train other technicians in the field and also be able to communicate effectively with co-employees, current customers, and sell contracts to potential customers.

 

Skills, responsibilities and kowledge should include: Understand Building Automation Control theory. Must have the specific product and industry knowledge necessary to make technical day-to-day decisions for products sold and serviced by the company. Know the current and future capabilities of the control system being installed and maintained by the company. This person must have the ability to manage people effectively. Must understand basic accounting and financial principles in order to sell profitable service contracts. Must have effective presentation and sales skills suitable for selling contracts.
