Credit Manger/Specialist

Fast paced construction supply company is seeking a motivated credit professional to join our downtown Indianapolis team reporting to the CFO.

POSITION: Credit Manger/Specialist

 

Basic Duties of Job:

This position requires candidate to be involved in the management of customer accounts for both the sales and rental divisions, from analysis of credit applications and credit accounts to taking necessary actions to protect company assets. 

 

Sales Completion Processing:  Coordinate with Customer Service/Sales to ensure sales are “completed”(collected) in a timely manner.

 Communicate with sales current status of past due accounts and planned action.Communicate with customer service current account status of past due customers.Coordinate completion of the “Request for Preliminary Information” form for new accounts and projects.Drive growth in profitable sales to target accounts using credit tools and solutions that provide company a competitive advantage.

 

Credit Analysis: Lead efforts in both establishing new credit account customers and analyzing current credit account holders on a perpetual basis. Direct thorough credit investigations of new and borderline accounts.Prepare accounts receivable analysis and follow up reports.Personally handle collections for critical and highly sensitive accounts.Implement process improvements in credit and collections processes and procedures.

 

Asset Protection:   Manage inside and outside resources to ensure specific administrative functions directly related to shipment and return processing.Send appropriate notices as required by law to maintain lien rights.Work with outside vendors to file liens and other legal action as necessary.Place accounts with collection agencies as appropriate.

 

All Other: Special projects as assigned.

 

The successful candidate must lead and direct the Collections Specialist in order to complete the above criteria.
