Department Manager (Geotechnical and Construction Material Testing) ENGINEERING YOUR CAREER SUCCESS THE JOB--WHAT IT IS:As a Geotechnical/CMT Department Manager with Terracon you will be responsible for managing the Geotechnical Engineering/CMT Department. Duties will include engineering analysis, business development, and management of projects. You will manage geotechnical exploration projects, coordinate with drilling & lab staff and prepare proposals/reports. Additionally you will supervise construction materials testing projects and review, sign, and seal construction testing reports.THE PERSON--WHAT IT TAKES:A Bachelors Degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering or a related engineering field is required. A Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related engineering field is preferred. You must have 5 years experience providing consulting engineering services and a P.E. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet; analytical and problem solving ability; demonstrated written and verbal communications skills; and demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate projects are required.
