Director of Employee and Labor Relations

We are seeking an experienced Director of Labor and Employee Relations, who will report to the VP of Human Resources, and have complete responsibility for managing the labor relations function company wide in the United States, including daily labor and employee relations issues and negotiating all union collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate Temco’s response to union grievances and arbitrations
Represent Temco in all employment related legal proceedings, including NLRB, human rights, sexual harassment
Respond to employee complaints and ensure corrective action
Negotiate and interpret collective bargaining agreements
Train supervisors and managers on how to avoid union issues
Counsel managers and supervisors regarding performance issues, state and federal laws, contract interpretation and company policies and proceduresstate New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Minnesota.
Requirements:
2+ years experience in Labor Relations with local 32BJ or
5+ years experience with another large union
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Direct, honest, persuasive
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent writing skills
Professional demeanor
Logical thought process
Law degree a +
