ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Layout conduit & cable tray runs, run conduit, run cable tray, and pull wire.Terminate motors, motor controls and instruments, troubleshoot motor control circuits and instrument loops. Install electric heat trace.Size and install overhead and underground electrical services. Install photo voltaic power systems.Install SCADA systems and radios and calibrate transmitters.Calibrate control valves, pressure switches and temperature switches as well as a wide variety of other instruments. Applicant with a working knowledge of PLC’s and DCS systems will be a greater asset.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Ø  The applicant must have electrical and instrumentation construction and maintenance field experience.

Ø  The applicant must have a valid Colorado State Electrical Journeyman’s license or the ability to obtain one shortly after hire. 

Ø  The applicant must have a valid Colorado State driver’s license or the ability to obtain one shortly after hire. 

Ø  The applicant must have strong electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting skills and have a positive, optimistic attitude toward problem solving and system installation. 

Ø  The applicant will benefit from PLC/DCS troubleshooting and or programming knowledge and skills.
