Electrical/Alarm CAD Designer

The Design Engineer will provide consultation and design for all types of electrical and low voltage projects. Utilizing his/her knowledge of electrical systems, the Design Engineer will coordinate with the general contractor or customer, architects, engineers, city and county building departments, etc. to design the appropriate application for the building. Qualifications & Requirements

· Extensive AutoCAD experience

· 3+ years experience in a designer position

· Experience with fire alarm design is a plus

· Must be able to layout electrical systems per NEC & fire alarm systems per NFPA 72 & 101.

· Strong technical abilities are a must (relay logic, circuit design, etc.)

· Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus

· Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator is a plus

· Maintenance of CAD file structure and archiving of hard copies

· Strong work ethic and emphasis on production

· BSEE is desired
