Electrical Engineer - Controls and Instrumentation

 

Tarmac/Titan America has an immediate opening for an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer at its Pennsuco Cement operation located in Medley, Florida.  This state of the art facility contains a cement manufacturing facility, block facility and quarry.  Titan is known for it's forward thinking approach to a holistic safety program and environmental responsibility.  This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional.

 

The Department’s major objective is to maximize cement and aggregates production by implementing new control methodologies and improve power and control system reliability as well as developing staff to support preventive maintenance strategies while identifying and executing capital improvement projects for all electrical and automation systems. 

 

Responsibilities:



- Responsible for electrical portion of cement plant expansion project  meeting timetables and budgets

- Manage relationships with vendors, manufacturers and consultants to optimize resources

- Design and deploy new control methodologies to increase efficiencies.  Modify current control or electrical infrastructure

- Plan major electrical/instrumentation projects and develop capital investment recommendations.  This includes preparing cost estimates and justifications for the capital plan and conducting economic and operational feasibility studies on proposed electrical modifications and additions

-  Provide leadership in maintaining and advancing the Titan America Safety Policy.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Bachelors degree from accredited university in electrical engineering preferred.

- 3-5 years minimum experience within a mining or cement manufacturing facility within electrical maintenance and controls functions.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential

- Position will require occasional travel
