Tracer’s specialty is in providing heat tracing solutions to our industrial client base. Tracer Industries was a privately held entrepreneurial company that was acquired by Tyco in 2001. This position will reside in our Posen, IL location.   Responsibilities:· Electric heat tracing systems design.· Fielding technical inquiries of internal and external customers.· Preparation of bills of material associated with the bidding of electric heat trace materials.· Troubleshooting of installed systems· All other duties as normally required by Tyco Thermal Controls Application Engineers and as required by our day-to-day business operations. Requirements:· Engineer must be able to interpret piping and instrument diagrams, plot plans, piping isometrics, piping plan drawings, piping specifications and bills of materials, area classification drawings, and instrument details.· Engineer must have working knowledge of physical properties such as temperature, length, voltage, current, pressure, area classification T-ratings, and insulation thermal properties.· Must have some technical understanding of piping materials, components, valves, etc.· Be a self-starter/self-motivated, detail oriented and a good communicator both written and oral.· Contribute to methods of improving work processes.· Be able to communicate with many groups.· Be able to exemplify our core values: Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Accountability. Education:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology  For immediate consideration, please send your resume via email to hr@tracerindustries.com , or by fax to 713-865-9898, attention Melissa Williams.   We offer a very competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, company paid life insurance, matching 401(k), education assistance, company paid short-term disability coverage and paid time off.
