Position Reports To:  Office Manager

 

Purpose of Position:  To provide administrative support to Project Management

 

Paul Dinto Electrical Contractors is one of the top union electrical contractors operating in CT.  Due to current and projected work load we are looking for a project assistant to join our team.  This is an entry level position and will provide opportunity for further growth within the organization.  This individual will work on projects in the industrial, commercial, and institutional markets.

 

Position Responsibilities and Duties:Assist the Project Managers and Project Executives with drawings and document control.Coordinate job specific mail requirements.Assist in the distribution and filing of Requests For Information (RFI’s).Assist with input and logging of RFI’s, Submittals, Drawings, Meeting Minutes, Transmittals, Change Order Requests (COR’s), Purchase Orders and Subcontracts into the company’s database system, and files.After PM/PE review, prepare submittals for submission.Maintain and distribute appropriate log(s) for RFI’s Submittals, Drawings, Meeting Minutes, Transmittals, and COR’s.Maintain positive relationship with clients, vendors, and co-workers; assist co-workers.Understands this position is an integral component of the Project Team including support for Foreman.Maintains open communication with all members of the Project Team.Implements administrative practices that insure all correspondence and documentation, incoming and outgoing, are read by all members of the Project Team.Maintains project files and reading folders.Timely notification of  Project Manager and Project Executive of any problems occurring at the site by phone, fax message or email. Assist with Contract Change Orders.Compile O & M documentation.Support PM/PE during Project Closeout Exercises.Fax and scanning information as requested.Copying and typing of documentation as requested.Pick-up and delivery of construction documentation as requested by project management. Maintain an organized work station.Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:Experience in the construction industryCollege degree not required.Familiarization with Microsoft Project, AutoCad application a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skillsGood organizational and follow-through skillsAttention to detail and accuracy
