Engineers Wanted

SGC Engineering, LLC, with locations in Burlington, Vermont, Westbrook and Orono Maine, is looking for Engineers with Utility experience.

Positions are responsible for achievement of growth objectives and leadership. You will supervise and/or coordinate engineers and technical staff assigned to electrical T&D projects in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Possible duties include:

Project Management:  Planning and alternative assessment; schedule management; regulatory permit process management; construction cost estimating and construction bid management.

Electrical Engineering:  System studies including power flow, stability, short circuit and others; NEPOOL/ISO-NE/RTO-NE support; electric substation design; relay protection and coordination; power equipment specification; electrical system integration interconnection with the power grid; control systems specification and design and transmission line design.

Marketing:  Strengthen existing relationships that SGC has developed with Utility and Industrial companies.  Develop and execute marketing plans that are consistent with SGC's strategic marketing plan. Pursue new opportunities and develop new relationships with Utility and Industrial companies in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Qualified candidates should have an Engineering degree and be either a registered PE or have the ability to become registered within one year. A minimum of 5 years experience in an electric utility company or an engineering consulting firm serving electric utilities is required.  A proven track record of team leadership and project management is essential.
