Description


Our client company is a highly successful sales, leasing and rental dealer of industrial equipment, primarily fork-lifts.  They serve Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas with an owner who has been in the industry for more than 35 years. The management style is open door and places value on training and growth with excellent reward for production results from constant sales activity.  You will be expected to be selling from 8AM – 5PM daily.  Consistent production is vital and key to long term growth, where you will be treated like family, and your efforts appreciated and rewarded.



This position will be responsible for selling/leasing/renting  fork-lift trucks in the Jackson MS Area to commercial and government accounts. There are existing accounts, but the key to success in this position, is growing the territory through new account acquisition. 



There will be a salary of $60,000 the first year. An incentive based commission/salary pay structure will be implemented in the second year of employment. If the salesperson wants, they can move off the salary in the first year. 



Full Benefits provided after 90-day probation period. Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and 401K.



Company vehicle (with monitored GPS), cell phone, full expense account and laptop are provided.



Primary responsibilities:


* Cold calls to potential clients


* In the field approximately 80% of the time


* Follow up in response to leads from maintenance, aftermarket sales, and call-ins to office/shop


* Help assess the best product(s) for clients’ facility and function


* Develop lease and financing agreements in conjunction with the finance company; present and review with clients


* Route leads to other departments for aftermarket sales or out of territory sales (you will receive comp on the out of territory leads, should they close)


*Contribute to overall morale of office/shop and generate positive working relationships among all employees within the local facility.  You must be a team player!


 *Anticipate and respond to all clients’ needs and requests promptly and efficiently


 



Requirements


*  Bachelor’s Degree Preferred


*  High Self Motivation


*  Must have a strong desire to learn, work hard, and generate revenue


*  Sales, industrial or equipment rental/sales, building or construction sales a plus


*  Good oral, written and verbal skills; basic understanding or capacity for math and finance


*  Must demonstrate positive or enthusiastic leadership and management skills


*  Microsoft Word and Excel


*  Valid state driver’s license


Background check required. Mandatory companywide drug testing is required prior to hiring and on a continual basis.
