Experienced Estimator/Project Coordinator

Dynamic, well-established and growing paving contractor is in need of an experienced Estimator/Coordinator skilled in all facets of concrete and asphalt paving projects and the related infrastructure principles and procedures. The rapid growth of our client company has created the demand for a self-starter who can step in and immediately estimate both large and small projects and function as the project coordinator.  This dynamic company provides an exciting, fun and fast paced environment to work in as well as competitive base compensation and performance incentives.

 

Essential Duties

 Accurately and timely completion of estimates for jobs of all types of mining and construction projects;Write bid proposals for large and small concrete, asphalt paving, utility, and dirt projects;Coordinate projects and liaison between field and office;Establish relationships with as many potential bidders as possible;Maintain current material and subcontractor pricing;Participate in plan and specifications reviews;Effectively manage and control the Bid Day process;Provide upper management with reports on bids won/lost;Meet productivity goals for bids produced, bids won and margin of error;Maintain relationships with current client base and prospect for new clients. 

Essential RequirementsVerifiable experience estimating all facets and types of heavy construction projects; Knowledge of and experience with concrete and asphalt paving and excavating construction required;Proven ability to read  and understand all types of blueprints plans and specifications;Demonstrated success at forecasting material, equipment and manpower;Leadership by Example with positive, hard working, can-do attitude;Proven math abilities with creative problem solving abilities;Post high school vocational or college education desired.
