Experienced Expeditor Needed!

 

* Review purchase orders for accuracy on a regular basis.
* Assure supplier compliance of the agreed upon purchase order terms and conditions.
* Communicate potential price/delivery changes, delays or technical/engineering questions from the supplier to the procurement leader and project team.
* Provide feedback and evaluations using the company Supplier Management Process.
* Work closely with accounting, receiving, document controls as required to resolve invoicing concerns, equipment status, progress of payments, etc.




 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

-Review purchase orders to determine items being manufactured, scheduled shipping date, destination, priority of order and receipt.
-Contact suppliers by mail, telephone, e-mail or personal visit to verify production schedule, adherence to engineering specifications and required delivery date.
-Expedite submittal process to support design and construction schedule.
-Communicate as necessary to correct any delays.
-Arrange for storage and/or distribution of materials upon arrival as required.
-Review jobsite receiving reports for completeness and accuracy.
-Maintain assigned department and project documentation files.
-Assist with other procurement functions as required by supervision.


Qualifications and Experience:

College degree or equivalent experience.
5 years experience in Building project construction
