UtilX is currently seeking FIELD TECHNICIANS primarily for work based out of the Phoenix, AZ area.

SUMMARY:

Safety of all team members is the most important business value of UtilX Corporation and all Team Members will continually work to implement and advance this value.  Electrical contact avoidance is the absolute first priority of each Team Member.  Specific Field Technician responsibilities include injection of primary cable using the CableCURE process, hazard recognition and avoidance, and daily job planning. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)Works safely with no electrical contact incidents or personal injuries.Responsible for the safety of all people at worksite. Enhances and advances a below zero incident safety culture and behavior. Assists Team Leader with job planning and hazard avoidance. Performs injection tasks according to company quality standards. Performs cable testing and analysis – air flow and TDR waveform equipment operation. Assists Team Leader in recording daily work records. Operate Company vehicles/equipment as required.

QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures that training efforts and field personnel’s activities support and conform to UtilX Corporation’s quality goals and standards.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Commitment to safe operations and below zero incident workplace.Experience with underground cable, familiarity with URD systems and cables.Prefer 5 or more years relevant work experience.Safe work record and a firm commitment to safety.Valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record.Willingness to accept extended travel assignments.Familiarity with electrical systems or underground distribution systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Frequent sitting, standing, and walkingFrequent exposure to seasonal elementsOccasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
