About the Position

 

Ace Asphalt of Arizona is looking for a Fleet Division Manager for our Phoenix Headquarters location. This position will provide leadership for all aspects of the purchase, repair and maintenance of fleet, earthmoving and paving equipment.

 

Your new position is to keep all 500 vehicles and pieces of equipment fully functional and able to support jobs all across the Phoenix area. This includes scheduling repairs, overseeing the PM process, purchasing equipment, dealing with employees, selecting and managing subcontractors and all other aspects of this crucial position.

About Your Job

 

The Fleet Division Manager position is to lead, oversee and effectively manage all areas of equipment uptime for our entire fleet.  This includes all aspects of repairs, preventive maintenance, financial analysis, subcontractor selection / management.

 

Providing leadership for all shop and field employees is also extremely important to the success of this position. Successful candidates will have experience staffing, training, evaluating and providing discipline to all levels of employees.  In addition, you will need to know each employee in the area, what motivates them, their personal circumstances. 

 

Your customers are internal and include field employees, Project Managers, and Senior Leadership of Ace Asphalt of Arizona. 

 

Effective relationships with external vendors and suppliers will also be essential for your success. 

 

 

About Your Job Requirements

 

Applicants for this position will need to be currently performing or have recently performed the job of Fleet Services Manager or position of an equivalent level.  You will report to the VP of Operations with direct frequent access to our Chief Operating Officer.

You will need to demonstrate above average critical thinking capacity, sound financial knowledge, solid truck and construction related heavy equipment knowledge, field circumstance understanding, computer skills, communication skills, leadership skills and negotiation skills. 

 

You need to have a determined personality, a confident manner of authority and sound intellect.  Leadership of employees needs to come naturally to you, and being comfortable knowing the interests and personal circumstances of your employees is key. 

 

Successful candidates are expected to have seven (7) or more years directly related experience in a Fleet Manager level position.  Other skills will be reviewed by interview, written assessment or communication with your associates and managers in previous positions.

 

 

 

About Compensation and Benefits

 

Just as we expect strong performance from you, we provide an exceptional compensation and benefits package. Included in this package is above average compensation including bonus pay, free healthcare, dental and disability for you as the employee and over 50% paid healthcare and dental insurance for your family.   

 

In addition, we have a 401(k) plan that is currently providing matching amounts up to 10% of your income at 139% of your contributed dollar.  To clarify, for every $1000 you contribute, Ace Asphalt will match $1390 up to 10% of your income.  With Ace Asphalt matching your contribution, $10,000 from you will net you a total of $23,900 for a single year.
